Stop the demolition by the C of E of the Georgian church of St Andrew's in Stockwell

The parish of St Andrew's, Stockwell, London is proposing to knock down our local church and replace it with a new one. Built in 1767, this Georgian building is the oldest working church in Lambeth. Because it was extended in 1810 and 1867, English Heritage have refused to list it and the church do not have any major obstacles to bring about its destruction. The church also plans to knock down adjoining Hammerton Hall, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The church's plans for the buildings' replacement include an ugly concave-shaped church, reminiscent of the BFI IMAX cinema, an uninspiring community hall and a block of flats. Please sign this petition and help save a unique local landmark that though in need of some TLC is much loved by the local community.
