RE-DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

When, in the exercise of American democracy, it becomes corrupted by the undue influence of vast wealth accumulated in the hands of a very few, by the seditious influence of foreign powers, and by the demagoguery of those unfit for office, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that we should re-declare the causes which impel us into restoring our government of the people, for the people and by the people.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, that they are endowed with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the unquestionable right of the people to restore our government to one that has an unshakable foundation on such principles.

Prudence dictates that the foundations of long established governments should not be changed for light and transient reasons.  Indeed, history has shown that the people are more disposed to tolerate for a time sufferable evils, than to right themselves by abolishing the perversions that the unfit few seek to impose upon the people.

But when a long train of abuses and corruptions are perpetrated, designed to reduce our government to absolute despotism, it is the right, it is the duty, of the people to throw off such perversions of our government and to provide new guards for our future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of the American people; and such is now the necessity which compels us to restore our former system of representative government. The history of the present, would-be American King is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over our states. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his assent to the framework laid out in our Constitution thought it is most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has refused to comply with the rule of law as laid out by our judicial system, castigating judges that rule against his wishes as unloyal to him as characterizes all childish tyrants.

He has sought petty revenge against those that resist his tyranny by perverting the operations of neutral governance into punishments.

He has corruptly manipulated his constitutional granted authority to greedily personally profit at every opportunity.

He has usurped the constitutional authority of the legislative branch by illegally withholding lawful appropriations.

He has violated the spirit and letter of our Constitution by denying due process and writs of habeas corpus to those that offend him in the manner of every cheap despot.

He has illegally dismissed dutiful government workers without cause or justification as suits the whims of a tyrant.

He has destroyed the foundations of our fiscal system by perverting foreign trade using absurd tariffs.

He has perverted all institutions that seek to check his megalomania. 

For giving aid to our foreign enemies.

For perpetuating violence against innocents domestically and abroad.

For attacking institutions of higher learning.

For attempting to subjugate legal representatives.

For attacking the free press and freedom of speech.

In every stage of these oppressions, we have petitioned for redress, in the most humble terms. Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have we ignored the attentions of brethren that inexplicably give support to our would-be dictator. We have warned them time after time of their attempts to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred, to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. But they too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity to denounce their acceptance and furtherance of his tyrannical acts.

Therefore, We The Peoples of the United States of America, in spirit thus assembled, appeal to all of creation for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by authority of the good people of this previously great nation, solemnly publish and declare, that these United States are not, and never shall be governed by a tyrant unfit for office; and that we will resist each and every attempt he makes to destroy our constitutional republic. And in the support of this re-declaration of our independence from tyranny, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
