This has received much more attention that I thought it ever would, so thank you to everyone who has signed. In fact it has received so much attention that Em Rusciano has tweeted it! Now normally under such circumstances this would be a great result, but I do not find the sarcastic and condescending nature of it to be one that understands why the petition was started in the first place. At the core of this petition is a person right to freedom of speech and how political correctness is degrading it. The left have slowly eroded this right to the point that if you do not agree with their opinion, you are branded a racist, sexist or other deformities. Instead of opening a discussion to debate issues, they merely insult and put down. This is accentuated by the polling of the U.S election, people were too scared to say they were trump supporters and so waited until they were in the privacy and protection of the voting booth to express their true thoughts. This is unsustainable. Em's post of "ha ha ha ha ha" supports the above argument, how could anyones view that the project should apologise be taken seriously? This isnt about trying to take shots at the project or Jamila's views, but rather ask for an apology to say that no one should be abused for having their own opinions. Is this really a huge ask? The following video helps to sum this up: https://www.facebook.com/viralthread/videos/598130190359668/?pnref=story Keep sharing it everyone, we are starting to get noticed! :)
