Hi all, I just wanted to reach out to let you know we’ve just passed 1,459 signatures on our petition! Thank you so much for your support! Don’t fret, this is just the beginning. We’re going to see how far this can really go.

   So far, we’ve contacted both the prime minister of Faroe Islands, Bárður á Steig Nielsen, and minister of Denmark. I’ve also wrote the spokesperson for the foreign affairs and trade, Páll Nolsøe. Today, I will reach out to the North Atlantic fisheries intelligence group (NA-FIG). I’m curious if they are going to take a stand and call out the Faroe Islands when they go there in August of this year during their large oceans nations forum. You can read about it at the link below. Maybe when they’re there they can interfere and call out the parliament? The hypocrisy of the Faroe Islands to hold forums like this baffles me..

  We’re going to next head into a possible expansion by partnering with groups who have been fighting causes like this for a long time. Sea Shepherd ( I love them) has already hit at the islands last year. They do great work and I wish they had more support with this cause. It was followed by an article from Nat. Geo (that didn’t expose it as well enough as you’d think it would’ve), so let’s kick this into gear, I’d say! That’s why I wrote their admin for their overseas campaigns and hopefully, the Sea Sheperds will be up for it again. They’re a brave, busy group and aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in. In the meantime, I’ll continue to do my research and due diligence about what steps to take next and contact other groups that protect marine wildlife worldwide.
