Let’s give pigeons a good life.
There is no need to persecute these gentle, intelligent birds who bring life to parks and public places, and were instrumental in conveying vital messages, which saved thousands of lives and brought rescue to many so people in desperate situations, during both World Wars.
Seeing children kicking and chasing pigeons is heartbreaking. It is unacceptable.

- Ask Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, to enforce the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which “protects” all wild birds, including pigeons, from abuse.

If the Act were enforced, there wouldn’t be any doubt about whether is OK to let pigeons be kicked, chased and stamped on.
- Ask your MP to call for a debate in Parliament about pigeon abuse.
- Contact HM The King. Explain that women who defend pigeons are threatened. The Queen Consort has a particular interest in protecting women.

- Ask the Department for Education to teach children to be kind to pigeons. This should be on the National Curriculum.
