Pigeon abuse is a nightmare. When will it end?
Pigeons are horribly abused in parks and public places. People are threatened for defending them. This endangers our safety and ruins our enjoyment of public areas.
Abuse of wild birds, including pigeons and seagulls, is an offence under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981. This law is not enforced, and abuse and cruelty to pigeons has become “fun” and “entertainment”. This is disastrous for wildlife, leads to further abuse and ruins our reputation as a nation of animal lovers.
Pigeon abuse needs to become something that doesn't happen any longer.

1. Ask the Prime Minister to enforce the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which “protects” all wild birds.

3. Tell your MP that we need a debate in Parliament about pigeon abuse - and an independent Public Enquiry.
If your MP holds surgeries, tell them about this petition. The Government needs to know that stopping cruelty to pigeons matters to thousands of people.
5. Ask the Department for Education to teach children kindness to pigeons. This should be on the National Curriculum.
