PETITION UPDATE

Pigeons are beautiful birds, and lifesavers of war. Like us, they are only trying to survive.

“Pigeons, gulls and other birds don’t like to be chased. Watch them play, instead”, says Animal Aid.

Animal Aid campaigns against animal abuse and promotes cruelty-free living. They send speakers to schools to teach children about kindness to animals - including pigeons, using visual aids in the form of knitted pigeons. The worksheet above, “Poppy the Pigeon”, is used during the talks, and pigeons are included in their other material.  See the link below :

Is Animal Aid really the only organisation which defends pigeons, apart from this petition?  We need an improvement in attitude in society and respect for these amazing birds.

This petition currently has 12,970 signatures. Let’s reach 15,000.
