“Pigeons, gulls and other birds don’t like to be chased. Watch them play, instead”, says Animal Aid.
Animal Aid campaigns peacefully against all animal abuse and promotes cruelty-free living. They send speakers to schools to teach children about being kind to all animals - including pigeons. Their speakers use visual aids in the form of knitted pigeons to promote kindness.

Is Animal Aid the only organisation which defends pigeons, apart from this petition? I find this incredible. Animal Aid is working towards solving the problem of pigeon abuse. If you know of others, please let me know. There needs to be much more emphasis on being kind to pigeons and stopping the awful abuse. What is needed is a reversal in attitudes for some people, including those that could do something about the problem but who are refusing to take any action against this cruelty. We need an improvement in attitudes in society and far greater respect and compassion for these wonderful birds.
This petition currently has 12,727 signatures. Let’s reach 15,000. Please sign and share it.
