Pigeons are kicked and chased, just for existing.
Parents encourage their children to do this.
This is simply not acceptable in our Nation of Animal Lovers. Pigeon abuse is animal abuse. It must stop,
It is far better to teach children to respect the pigeons and the other fantastic wildlife who share our world. This will create a kinder society for now and the future. What we teach children in the early years stays with them.
Who realises, today, that pigeons saved thousands of human lives in wartime, as messengers?
Children would be fascinated to learn about pigeons and their brilliant navigational skills, which are still not fully understood. Knowledge of these facts could lead to a far greater understanding of pigeons and compassion towards them.

We must MAKE SOME NOISE about pigeon abuse!
Please ask the National Trust, the RSPB, RSPCA, PETA, celebrities such as Sir David Attenborough, television and radio stations and the media to give pigeons a far more positive image.

I have written to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, (RSPB) to ask how they intend to protect pigeons from abuse.

Ask the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to teach children to be kind to pigeons and all animals. Kindness begins in childhood.
