Let’s teach children to respect pigeons, who saved thousands of human lives during both World Wars, as vital messengers.
Pigeon abuse it out. It is incredibly cruel. It leads to further abuse - of animals and people.
Cruelty is never acceptable.
Abuse of pigeons is shocking to see. Tragically, it has become a habit, with parents encouraging children to abuse pigeons. Why?
Cruelty to pigeons ruins our enjoyment of parks and public places. It sets a precedent that abuse of vulnerable creatures is “acceptable”. It creates a culture of cruelty, and a powder keg of animal abuse for the future.
Animal abuse leads to people abuse. Fact.
Kindness must prevail; teaching children to be kind to pigeons and all animals is vital for the welfare of all animals, now and in the future.
