Pigeons are sentient beings who feel joy, pain and fear.  They bring life to parks and public places, but are often persecuted. 

Pigeons need protection under the new Animal Welfare laws, currently being discussed in Parliament. These include The Animal Welfare Sentience Bill and DEFRA’s Action Plan for Animal Welfare, to which I attach the link below.

Please ask your MP to give pigeons full, specific and effective protection from abuse under the new legislation, and to outlaw pigeon abuse. Pigeons are not a risk to human health, as confirmed by vets and the RSPB.
