Everyone should be able to enjoy parks and public places in safety. Women should feel safe when walking in parks or streets, with the confidence that the law protects them, particularly if they try to defend pigeons from regular persecution, hatred and abuse.
This is not currently the case. There is no law to protect pigeons from abuse and persecution, or to protect people who try to defend them.
Pigeon abuse is Speciesism. It is antisocial behaviour and should be made illegal in the UK.
It is important to get pigeon abuse outlawed under the new Animal Welfare Sentience Bill, currently being discussed in Parliament.

Let’s be kind to pigeons, and show respect for all creatures who share our world. Speciesism has no place in our world today. Great Britain must become a Nation of Animal Lovers again. We must lead the world in the fight against all forms of hatred and prejudice towards innocent creatures, and protect pigeons, our forgotten heroes of war, from regular abuse and persecution.
