Pigeons, like all creatures, deserve respect and kindness, but are being singled out for abuse and persecution. This is unacceptable.
Let’s show pigeons kindness and respect. Then, everyone will be able to enjoy parks and public places, without having to see cruelty in action.
Vets and the RSPB agree that there is “no tangible health risk” to humans from contact with pigeons, and that the 'rats with wings' concept is just emotive nonsense. There is no evidence to show that pigeons spread disease. Please see the Internet for details.
Despite this, there are still notices in public places, claiming that pigeons are a health hazard. These contribute to the continuing hostility and Speciesism towards pigeons.
