As part of the Queen's Speech on Tuesday 11th May, the Government announced that it plans to introduce new laws to protect animals and promote the highest standards of animal welfare in the UK.
It is vital that the new Animal Welfare Laws protect pigeons from cruelty and abuse, and outlaw pigeon abuse and persecution. The laws should also give protection to anyone who intervenes to try to stop the abuse of pigeons, who currently risks their own personal safety if they try to protect pigeons.
Please contact your MP to request that pigeons be protected from abuse and persecution under the new Animal Welfare laws.
