When in the course of the 249 years since our forefathers declared it necessary and proper to declare their independence from the Tyrannical rule of the King of Great Britain, it has once again become necessary, due to the failure of our Congress to exercise its duty under our Constitution, for the People to rise up against the “long Train of Abuses and Usurpations” of our President and would-be king, Donald J. Trump, 

We the People, do hereby present these Articles of Impeachment to our Representatives in Congress as our demand that they remove Donald J. Trump from office before he succeeds in his apparent object to destroy our democratic form of government.

We present the following list of our president’s abuses of power and assert that they constitute “high crimes and misdemeanors” that require Donald J. Trump to be removed from office.

-         He has pardoned people convicted of crimes of violence and insurrection against our government after having incited them to commit those crimes.  And after pardoning them, he has encouraged them to commit further crimes, all in violation of his duty to protect and defend the laws of this country.

-         He has usurped the power and authority of Congress to enact laws and establish agencies by the unconstitutional enactment of laws by executive decree and the indiscriminate and unlawful firing of large proportions of the agencies’ workers to effectively destroy the agencies’ ability to perform the duties mandated by the laws of Congress. 

-         He has, contrary to the will of our citizens, and as an affront to the democratic ideals of our country, sided against our democratic allies in Europe and against Ukraine in favor of supporting the murderous dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

-         He has, contrary to the will of our citizens and as an affront to our democratic ideals, insulted our allies and validated the invasion of Ukraine by the tyrannical dictator Putin, by proposing that we take by force of violence the territories of our friend and ally Canada, and the independent countries of Greenland and Panama.

-         He has, contrary to our Constitution’s guarantee of due process, summarily rounded up people, and in cruel and inhumane manner, transported them to foreign countries without any due process or even determination of who is being transported.  And he asserts that it is within his power and authority to do so to any person in this country!

-         He has, contrary to his duty to protect the rule of law, denigrated and suborned violence against our judiciary.

-         He has allowed the power of our executive branch to be delegated to the rogue and vaguely defined Department of Government Efficiency, that has carried out the indiscriminate and unlawful firings of multitudes of government workers, has obtained access to classified and confidential information without proper authorization, and has unlawfully entered non-government buildings and forcibly removed personnel without lawful warrant or authority.

Having suffered enough of these affronts to our laws, our constitution, and our democratic ideals, We the People do solemnly Publish and Declare these Articles of Impeachment to establish that Donald J. Trump must be removed from office before he is allowed to destroy our country and its institutions.

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”
