As we are reaching a New Year it is of the highest importance to evolve as people and change the name of 'Thanksgiving' or 'Thanksgiving Day' to 'Indigenous Peoples' Appreciation/Remembrance Day'. If we want to grow as a society and move forward towards a better world that is even more free of racism and horrible historical inaccuracies we must find it within ourselves to not only change the name of this holiday but to also educate every generation young and old on the actual historical occurrences that have been associated with this holiday. If we want to see change we must be the change that we want to see in this world and signing this petition is another step towards a more accepting and educated world! Ignorance can be corrected and we can over turn things that are unjust if we come together as the melting pot of people that we are and say NO MORE to this racism, inaccuracy, and educational misinformation!
