THE OFFICIAL TIMEOUT: Make the Monday after the Big Game a National Holiday
The Issue
The Big Game has become an unofficial national holiday, and not only because of the football. As Americans, it’s our duty to get caught up in the food, the commercials, the rivalry, friendships…all of it!
But every year, millions of us wake up on Monday morning with sore throats, tired eyes, and the same thought…why am I expected to function right now? How am I supposed to crush it after sports' biggest day of the year?
We deserve a day to recover from both the excitement and the heartbreak. We deserve a day to nurse our voices, our hearts and our hangovers. That’s why we’re calling for The Official Timeout. It’s a national day of rest and recovery, and a day to relive the best (and worst) moments from that incredible Sunday.
Take action. Make your voices heard! Make the Monday after the Big Game a national holiday.
Because if we can all agree on one thing, it's that nobody should have to set an alarm after the fourth quarter.
