Why this petition matters

Started by James Parsons

We call upon TNA to CANCEL the contract for the provision of the 1921 Census and to insist that FMP stop charging and refund all charges made to customers to date in view of the inordinate number of transcription errors.

That FMP be required to liaise with Family History Societies and other transcribers in order to facilitate an early correction to the errors.

The attached picture of a Family in Bruton, Somerset most of whom are clearly born Beuton, Somerset, but transcribed as born BRISTON, Norfolk is a prime example.

On another family, my aunt, clearly born Briantspuddle Dorset is transcribed as born BRAINTREE Essex!
