We are quite upset that you’ve chosen Tizzie Hall as your face of World Breastfeeding Week. By hosting Tizzie as your guest speaker you are presenting inappropriate and poorly researched content. Tizzie Hall’s methods do not support breastfeeding attachment theory whatsoever and are basically child abuse packaged in a book easily accessible to nervous first time mothers. Please instead respect the viewers and interview an educated professional such as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) who can present researched, peer-reviewed facts. 

Ms Hall is not an IBCLC, nor is she formally qualified. She authored the controversial parenting book ‘Save Our Sleep.’ She is controversial amongst leading paediatricians, her ideology contradicts WHO (World Health Organisation) guidelines and is not endorsed by the ABA (Australian Breastfeeding Association), nor Australian Infant Mental Health Guidelines. She was also recently under investigation by Kidsafe for recommending the unsafe use of child car seat products. 

If you were doing a segment on nutrition and how your family can get their 2 serves of fruit and 5 of vegetables you wouldn’t invite Colonel Sanders. So why give Tizzie Hall extra airtime?
