The stray animals of Chania are being slaughtered. They are being poisoned to exterminate them and eliminate them. For the last few weeks the volunteers in Chania have been finding the strays they used to feed, protect, vaccinate and neuter with their own funds, dead. The streets of Chania have been filled with the tiny corpses of these poor defenceless animals. It is suspected that these animals have been subjected to an organised plot to clear the streets of them before the tourist season starts. Chania is one of the most important tourist destinations in Europe.
