Modern roof mounted solar panels, like those installed by Tesla or many other solar installers, are great systems for producing clean energy, can save their owners significant electricity costs over the life of their system, all while looking nice.  Residents within the Lakes of Radisson neighborhood in Blaine, MN should be free to install these roof mounted systems within reason, and with limited interference from either the home owner sub-associations or the master association of the neighborhood.  We grant that the association should be able to review the proposed Solar install and make minor recommendations, provided those recommendations do not significantly decrease the efficiency or increase the cost of the system. 

Depending on the install, a roof mounted solar install can produce clean electricity for a resident, allowing them to save upwards of $30,000 in electricity costs over 25 years and offset over 300 metric tonnes of CO2 production over the life of the system.  Help us convince the Master Association that the Lakes residents should have the freedom to install these systems on their personal homes.
