VOTE TO STOP HIGH DENSITY DEVELOPMENT IN HUNTINGTON BEACH

VOTE TO STOP HIGH DENSITY DEVELOPMENT IN HUNTINGTON BEACH
The Issue
Please sign this petition to demand the Huntington Beach City Council vote in favor of amending the Beach Edinger Corridor Specific Plan (BECSP) by reducing the residential maximum amount of new development (apartments) to 2,100 units and by imposing a density limit of 35 units per acre in keeping with our general plan.
On Monday, May 4th, the City Council will vote to either put a stop on further High Density Developments in the Specific Plan, or allow the maximum net density of 4500.
High Density Development affects our quality of life in Huntington Beach. It is causing an increase in traffic problems, lack of parking, more demand for Police and Fire services, and a shortage of park space for recreational use, such as youth sports.
