Western Sydney Toxic Spill

Western Sydney Toxic Spill
The issue
Run-off from a fire at a St Mary's Dunheved road oil recycling plant on January 17 has been blamed for the Toxic Spill.
100's of fish have been found dead in South Creek between St Marys and Windsor. Penrith Council is working closely with the EPA, NSW Health, Sydney Water, the Office of Water and neighbouring councils to monitor pollution levels. Water users are advised to use an alternative source until further notice.
But many people rely on South Creek / Hawkesbury River or use for recreational purposes. And still 3 weeks later fish are still dying, birds are disappearing and Western Sydney residents are still unaware of potential health concerns in their community. People were even seen swimming in water at Windsor Boat ramp.
This is not the first time this has happened. Nothing was done last time to prevent "Industry" ruining Western Sydney waterways and park lands.
Having you acknowledge this petition, and help us get to 5000 signatures, will force Politicians and Council members to investigate this publicly and help get resolution to prevent these disasters to happen again.
