Muppets need to leave Disney & return to The Jim Henson Company.
The Issue
I dislike when The Jim Henson Company sold The Muppets to Disney in 2004/2005. Jim's influence on the Muppets is now lost, for whatever reason. Disney seems very busy working on other projects, especially as it purchased the Fox Studios, of Walt would never do. I hate how a lot of the characters look completely different and ugly looking, examples are Gonzo, Sam the Eagle, Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy. The Muppets are opposite and not how Jim Henson & Jerry Juhl described them. They need to leave The Disney Company. And convince The Henson Family they should come back to The Jim Henson Company. Especially with the ABC Show The Muppets which didn’t last very long and the script material and story ideas were bad and the audience began disliking the show. Kermit is more of a Sesame Street and Henson character, not much a Disney character. I feel that nobody can be in a position to put Jim and the other original Muppet performers influences into the characters. The only performer I think left is Dave Goelz, who performs Gonzo. I think Disney didn’t really had much experience working with Jim Henson. Plus Frank Oz believes that the Disney deal from 1989 and 1990 made Jim sick. I think probably Jim had mixed feelings about Disney negotiations, and referred to it as the goddamn deal. Neither did he discussed about removing the Kermit mascot from The Jim Henson Company. It would be like if The Mickey Mouse mascot was removed from Disney and if a different entertainment and film studio company like Paramount/Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers or Universal bought Mickey Mouse from Disney. Also I feel Disney doesn’t really know what to do with the Muppets, unlike Jim Henson and Brian who had always came up with brilliant ideas always going onto the next and the next chapters with projects such as The Muppet Movie and it’s sequels such as The Great Muppet Caper and The Muppets take Manhattan, The Jim Henson Hour and Muppets Tonight.
