The Muppets have announced that a Muppet Show reboot starring Sabrina Carpenter will make its debut next year. The show may or may not be great. But I’m happy Disney has finally figured out a plan for The Muppets. I still think that it wasn’t a smart idea for Jim wanting to include Kermit as apart of the sale of Jim’s Company and Muppet Show characters to Disney. I would exclude Kermit along with the Sesame Street characters from the 1989 and 1990 sale of the Henson Company. Since Jim wouldn’t have much creative control over Kermit, and that it’s made from his mother’s green coat and I’d want to be very protective over Kermit. Almost like how creators and owners are protective over their creations, collectibles, and toys. And that I would still want to use Kermit for Sesame Street, if writers, directors, and producers need Kermit for scenes on the show.
