My nephew Joseph J Oakes was murdered on Jan 12,2022 in a drive by shooting in St.Marys County M.D. He was only 19yrs old with a bright future ahead of him. Joe was on his was home with his 2 brothers and 2 friends when a car of suspects drove up and open fired into the passenger back door injuring two and killing Joe. The suspect that did the shooting was already on electronic monitoring for other violent crimes involving a fire arm and other violent crimes.  We are asking for full justice of Joe's murder. We are asking that the community make sure our children are safe and the system is implementing maximum sentences to repeat offenders and that the state is not neglecting to impose full sentences to repeated illegal gun holders.

We want Justice for Joseph but also all the other victims and their families who have suffered a loss due to violent crimes.
