Fast track Will’s appeal and give him his legal right to a fair trial

The Issue

This petition has been made on behalf of Will Dennis, and his family, specifically his mother, Sam.

Will has been the subject of racist abuse and threats. There is evidence that supports this. After constant torment he had understandably had enough.

The judge downplayed the actions of the victim as “racial banter”. Will is remorseful for his actions of physically fighting against racism and he understands the error of his ways. But we cannot pretend that this was an unprovoked viscous attack. When Will is described by everyone he knows as soft and gentle. We are simply requesting a fast track of his appeal and that he is given his right to a fair trial. Because Will pleaded guilty evidence that supported his case were not presented, this paired with a bias judge downplaying the racist remarks the victim made, got Will 14 months in prison.
