Banning single use plastic is one massive step for the environment. My aim is to get this petition out there and save our planet. With your signature together we can help save the world. Do you really want a seal to die so you can have a couple of microwaved meals? Single use plastic is getting us no where, its time for it to go. Completing this petition will be hard but when we complete it it will have a huge impact. 

Did you know that 6 million tons of plastic gets wasted every year. If we stop using plastic then 100,000 marine creatures and turtles lives will be spared, including approximately 6 million sea birds that die from plastic. Furthermore, fatal entanglement in and ingestion of marine debris by marine animals has increased by 40% in the last decade according to Convention on Biological Diversity report. I am passionate for this issue to be acknowledged and acted on as instantaneously as possible for the reason that millions of vulnerable and innocent ocean wildlife are being affected by this tragic issue. Additionally, not only does plastic affect our sea life it affects our health and well being as well. For toxic ingredients can evaporate into the air and be breathed in and they can be readily absorb into the skin. Moreover they can leach into food or drink and then be ingested. Just by putting on body lotion, drinking hot coffee from a Styrofoam cup, eating a microwaved meal and heaps more is allowing chemicals from plastic to migrate easily into the body. In conclusion by signing this petition not only are you helping to save the oceans wildlife but saving our own selves as well as the environment. NO ONE NEEDS SINGLE USE PLASTIC !!!
