In Nigeria vote buying has become rampant, such that, elections are won either by giving voters money in exchange for their votes or buying votes from electoral officials. With the recent testimonies from major States in the country, if this is not stopped, our leadership positions will be occupied by criminals.

This bitter situation can only be stopped if the government criminalise such act, and bring those involved to justice. I consider this a move to rescue our dying democracy in Nigeria.

The purpose of this petition is to:

1. To stimulate democracy.
2. To criminalise vote buying.
3. To give citizens the absolute freedom to choose quality leaders, without obstruction for socio-economical benefits.
4. To enable good governance.
