There are many issues the animal world is facing today, and a big one is animal testing. Animal testing is any scientific research task, experiment or test conducted on animals. When animals undergo these experiments, it can result in pain, suffering, long term harm and most likely, death.

Animals are being used to test products and services that can be done in better ways. This issue is being caused so that humans aren’t affected by the negative causes of health risks and diseases. Scientists would rather these possible risks and experiments be performed on animals. All animals are affected by this. Certain labs and companies use a specific species of animal for certain testing.
Mice, rats and rabbits take up around 95% of the animals used for animal testing, but other animals are also used, such as cats, dogs, guinea pigs, sheep, pigs, birds, horses, hamsters and a breed of fish called zebrafish. 
Around 90% of chemicals and drugs tested on animals fail in human trials.
Each year, for human products and experiments, over 110 million animals die from them failing. But, there is also the impact animal testing has that goes unnoticed. Studies show the environmental impacts animal testing influences. The use and disposal of the animals helps contributes to our world’s pollution, harms biodiversity and the public’s health.
