After young Manchester United loanee Michael Keane returned to his parent club, Leicester City are left without an obvious first-choice Central Defender ahead of the 2013/14 season. During the 2010/11 season, Portuguese Defender Miguel Vitor was attached to Leicester City on a season-long loan, and impressed a significant section of the Club's fanbase with his abilities across various aspects of the game. In May 2013, Miguel decided not to renew his contract with Benfica, and has thus become a free agent. We, the supporters of Leicester City Football Club, believe Miguel would be an excellent addition to the playing staff, and that therefore the Club should approach Miguel Vitor regarding his future. Should Miguel be interested in joining Leicester City, the Club should make a concerted attempt to secure his services on a permanent basis.
