Members of the global elephant expert network PREN have supported the EMS Foundation negotiation process with Minister Barbara Creecy which commenced on the 16th December 2020 to release Charlie from the confines of the Pretoria zoo.

The elephant experts will continue to support the EMS Foundation with regards to the next steps of this process.
