These days animal birth control( dogs) programmes are taking place at an accelerated pace. It is a good initiative as far as controlling the population of stray dogs is concerned. Street dogs live a miserable life on roads. Unable to get food, their life on roads is highly risky. 

But some so called NGOs have made animal birth control a business venture. Such organisations take tender, buy poor quality materials such as sutures, antibiotics to name a few. What is more, they hire inexperienced vet surgeons so that they pay them less salary and earn maximum profit. They stake all the rules and guidelines of Animal welfare board of India regarding such programs just by managing few corrupt people in municipalities. And the ultimate sufferers are speechless animals. 

Recently such a program was started in Muktsar, Punjab, with all the irregularities and keeping all the rules at bay. On raising my voice against such wrong done to poor doggos, I was slapped with a false and frivolous FIR by Muktsar police. I am repeatedly writing to chief minister’s office, DGP Punjab and other concerned that I never did what they mentioned in FIR and also I have sufficient evidences and eye witnesses in my favor. Still no one is ready to listen to me. All the district administration has proved to be a deaf ear to my representations. 

We talk about being the largest democracy in the world. And our respected PM talks about “ beti bachao beti padhao”. Is this the way that ‘betis’ of India would reach the zenith? I have been implicated in false case as I dared to speak up for the mute dogs. And no one is ready to listen to me.
