We are all here to honor the life and service of JosephPowell Jr., known to many as "Joe” who left us on January 9th, 2025. Joe was a father, a grandfather, a friend, a mentor, and a brave individual who served his country as a Marine with honor. His dedication to his family, his legacy, and those who had the privilege of knowing him is something we will never forget.

In his final years, however, our father/grandfather was tragically failed by the system that was supposed to protect him. He was placed under the care of a court-appointed guardian, who removed him from the love and support of his family and isolated him in a nursing home where he was heavily neglected. From the moment he was put in the nursing home on July 11, 2023 he started to lose morale

We Are So Busy With So Much, Not Realizing We Will Be Older Faster Than We Think! We All Need To Support Each Other. Look AROUND, Pay Attention To What They Are Doing! We Need To Care More.

Guardians should not be permitted to be appointed no matter who they are; court appointed, family members, etc. Investigators need to step in first running a full background check. There should be a law and a rule pertaining to anyone caring for OUR Seniors, Veterans and the Disabled. These individuals should NOT be the Victims of someone else’s Misdeeds & Greed..

They should not be subjected to anyone's system. Our seniors and veterans have done so much for this country, why should they be stripped of their Dignity by allowing someone to enter into their lives that they are not familiar with and, do not understand their culture, ethnicity, and/or background. Some guardians can be controlling, manipulative, conniving, deceitful and most of all sneaky. Our Parents, Seniors, and Veterans Deserve Better. Help Me ...
