Getting clacton a new skatepark

The Issue

Clacton skatepark has been closed since April 2019. Before it closed there was a sewage leak that we were told was going to be fixed but never truly was. The council temporarily closed it, made it "safe" and reopened it after many weeks. When it reopened it was worse than before and unskateable, we informed the council and adjoining leisure centre of the dangers and they subsequently closed it and nothing has been done with it since. We have spoken to many official people about the issue of not having a park, including Clacton MP Giles Watling, who was completely on board saying we just needed to do a fundraiser and apply some pressure with the relevant people and was sure we'd get something sorted. Due to covid we haven't been able to arrange any form of fundraiser or further meetings but now we are hopeful that situation can change and we can finally get Clacton the new park it deserves!
