I spoke with the principal, Brian High, and he answered all of my questions about the treatment and health of the horses. I feel a lot better, after being reassured, these horses are very well taken care of. They stay on a ranch out in Kemp, (not in small stables like some) and see a vet regularly, whether they're sick or not. If they ARE sick, they stay home and don't go back to work until they're 100% better. Also, he said at the end of their shifts, they're rewarded with treats. He did say not all companies are like this, and that some DO NOT represent the industry properly, so hopefully we can find those companies and do something about it. I've emailed a few and have not gotten a response, but I'm not giving up. :)
So our voices were heard! Unfortunately not all places are like this, so don't stop fighting for these horses. Contact different companies and ask questions, look up reviews, and contact the right people to report any suspicion.
