The Line Wall Road closure implemented in isolation will only transfer traffic generated pollution and congestion to Queensway.

BEFORE Line Wall Road is closed, an holistic traffic plan needs to be adopted.

Here are a few suggestions that may help:-

* Complete the long awaited Airport/Runway Tunnel to eliminate idling stationary traffic waiting to cross the airport runway.

*Introduce electric buses and taxis to remove some of Gibraltar's biggest polluters from our roads.

*Introduce a 24 hour bus service so that residents can get around Gibraltar without using their car or motor bike.

*Encourage use and purchase of Electric Vehicles by providing EV charging points throughout Gibraltar.

*Make it compulsory for all new build properties to have EV charging points.

*Introduce a Park & Ride scheme for all foreign registered vehicles.

*Prohibit HGV's from using our roads at peak times.

*Restrict heavy diesel machinery from operating on building sites to 9-5 weekdays only.

Only then will Line Wall Road closure achieve its potential 'into a healthier green Gibraltar'
