Your chance to register your interest in commenting on the announced road closures. In order to do so you must email the Minister for Transport and Traffic, the Hon Vijay Daryanani at mbtt@gibraltar.gov.gi, no later than 16.00 hours tomorrow Thursday 14 May 2020.

These road closures should not be taken in isolation and should be only considered as part of an holistic Traffic and Transport Plan for Gibraltar, as part of the new Gibraltar Development Plan.

The effect of additional traffic congestion on alternative routes, such as Queensway which will be the only road open, for vehicles travelling North-South, will create a congested bottleneck, which will be made even worse when Quay 31 is occupied and Rooke and Victoria Keys are developed.
