In the small hours tonight, BBC4 will once again by repeating their 2009 documentary Ford's Dagenham Dream. I say once again because since its initial broadcast six years ago it has been repeated a staggering 25 times! I can't take this any more and have decided to write to the BBC to complain and highlight the intentions of this petition. A copy of my complaint can be read here; Dear Sirs, I wish to complain about Ford's Dagenham Dream. Please note I have nothing against the programme itself, it's a good documentary of its kind. My actual complaint is that as of it's repeat in the early hours of the 19th Oct 2015, the documentary will have been repeated some 25 TIMES since its original broadcast on BBC4 in 2009. Don't you think this is overkill? Why has this been picked up so many times when a similar look at the British motor industry and trade unionism in the 1970s from BBC4, The Lost World of Red Robbo, has not been repeated since 2007? Far be it from me to tell you what to repeat but surely this is an opportunity being missed as you continue to dust down the same programme time after time for the past six years? And why not fill this vacant slot with something else entirely - such as an old Play for Today or Screen One/Screen Two?
