Man now eats more meat and consumes more animal products than in the past. Britain's meat consumption is at epidemic high levels , and the NHS simply can't cope with such huge rates of cancer, heart disease and obesity. So why does the BBC continue to encourage the nation to keep on cooking so much meat through its cooking shows such as masterchef, the box, Britain's best dish, the great British bake off. The BBC continues to encourage poor health and practises a denial over how this food really is produced and simply denies the hidden facet of the meat and dairy industry. It does not promote or encourage a healthy, sustainable way of living but continues to turn a blind eye on harsh facts. It's time we insisted on a more responsible approach and pressured for a change in the BBC before it shows us all how to cook more bacon and we inherit more heart disease and resistance to antibiotics. TheBBCshould be educating the nation and should carry its powerful voice in a more balanced and unbiassed manner.
