Euchre is a marvelous card game that teaches partnership, inclusion, and strategy. It requires cooperation between partners, comradery, and respect. 

However, euchre has one major flaw!

The highest ranking card in a euchre deck is called........the Trump card!

Is this the kind of card that we want representing our great card game? Is this the example we want to set for our children? Do we want them to grow up in a world where the Trump card reigns over all? A world where the 9 of spades must bow to the whims of the Jack of clubs? We can change!

I am proposing that we change the name of the trump card. After careful consideration (and a few beers), the only acceptable alternative would be to call it the Bern Card! 

Lets replace that dominant, egotistical, maniacal card for one that promotes fairness, equality, and harmony! When you play the Bern Card, you're saying "I'm taking this trick, but dammit I respect you."

The "burn" card is used in Texas Hold Em so it won't be a huge culture shock to refer to a playing card as such. Plus, we get the opportunity to right our wrong!

We didn't get to a chance to Feel the Bern this election season, but now we can make a more lasting change! Let's use this 2nd chance to make things right!

No more trump card!
