I haven’t posted in a long time- wanted to give an update on my case- so I had a court hearing yesterday at the provincial court of BC in Port Coquitlam, closest to my children, and because I had made the mistake of also filing a petition with the Supreme Court, they decided to adjourn the provincial application. As I don’t have very much legal advice, it has been hard to even get this far. My goal is to challenge the adoptions of my children, specifically my youngest daughter who I tried to revoke my consent the following day after signing and my lawyer told me it was “too late” when in fact it was not. I have a room in my house set up for my children, all the things I know they like, on the very slim chance a birth mother will actually get justice in this incredibly corrupt adoption system. Things absolutely need to change. The fact alone that adoptees are 4 TIMES more likely to;
committ suicide, specifically female ones, which contradicts suicide rates which are typically higher in men, have severe emotional damage including depression, anxiety, emotional instability, trouble forming emotional attachments, and so much more, because children are not meant to be amputated from their God-given, natural first family, and allow adoptive parents to attempt to replace a whole network of people and support they were created for, usually in the name of religion. This is not working for any adoptees, and how many more adoptees need to be abused before we decide to fight this across the country and world? Are not all these studies on the severe decline in mental health of adoptees enough to evoke change? Why is nothing happening?
