The reason for this is on Wednesday 9th March 2022 at 1610 hours, I was racially assaulted both verbally and physically on the central line, both whilst on the platform and train heading eastbound at Tottenham Court Road. Upon reporting this, I was told central line trains are the only trains that are not fitted with CCTV, therefore the possibility of finding evidence able to prosecute is minimal. How am I, or any other female or vulnerable individual meant to feel safe? Why has nobody been made aware of this?

The whole ordeal lead me to research many things and post videos on my social media with an image of the individual who assaulted me. I had been brave enough to take a picture although I was shaking in fear and disbelief. The videos have amassed a huge number of views and comments encouraging me to continue to battle this matter as not only is what happened unacceptable, but almost nobody was aware that the central line trains didn’t have CCTV.
