A post I made to my Facebook: 

Food for thought, I have 545 friends on my friends list and there is less than 1% that I don’t know in person. That’s roughly 500 people that know me personally that I’m friends with on Facebook.

So for sure, 500 of you can now say that you know someone whose loved one has been murdered. With that in mind, how many people on your friends list know you personally? Those that do, can now say that they know someone, who knows someone, who has lost someone to murder.

Let’s say you have 500 friends on your friends list, we are already over 250k people who know someone directly or indirectly that has been affected by murder. When you put it in the perspective that I just did, chances are you know more than one person that has been affected by a murder. ( and I’m just counting Facebook friends)

That is why this petition is so important. It’s easy to believe we are untouchable, but the truth is, we are not! We have over 1k signatures, which is amazing! But, we have a long way to go. I don’t believe this is going to be quick or easy, but I believe we can achieve this.

I’m going to leave you with one of Stormie’s recent favorite quotes: “ Whether you say you can or can’t, you’re right!” She would add- “It’s a mentality!”
