This past October 1st, the Texas government passed the infamous Heartbeat Bill which makes it illegal for women to terminate their pregnancies after 6 weeks regardless of the circumstances in which they became pregnant. This bill will have detrimental effects on the women of Texas and will add to the population of the foster care system. Furthermore, this bill proves to go against American rights given that it contests the legislation passed in Roe v. Wade. Through signing this petition, we hope to make our voices heard and influence the Texas governor and Texas Congress to repeal the Heartbeat Bill.
