Ending the mask mandate at Texas A&M would be devastating to the on campus community. Masks have been scientifically proven to stop the spread of Covid, and with new Covid variants emerging as well as a slow distribution of vaccine, removing the mask mandate on campus would lead to a massive Coronavirus outbreak. 
We urge Texas A&M officials to maintain their current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing in every building on campus, social distancing in classrooms and dining areas and other safety precautions in order to keep students and faculty safe.
