SB4 Will Go into Effect September 1st as We wait on Federal Judges' Decision

Dear friends and allies, Texas is going through a very dark time. As an immigrant, a DACA beneficiary and a daughter of undocumented parent's, SB4 goes against our human dignity. As you may know, a little town in Texas known as El Cenizo first filed a lawsuit against SB4 back in May, where major cities would later join against such an anti-immigrant bill. Those cities include Dallas, El Paso, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. We are advocating, fighting, and we continue to expose that SB4 is unconstitutional and will deliberately give law enforcement power outside of their jurisdiction and those affected by it will be our communities, parents, undocumented immigrants or anyone who looks different. The decision on this bill will determine the future of this country. If one state can get away with such a hateful anti-immigrant bill many other states will follow. If you would like to join the fight please get in touch with me or get in touch with your local community leaders on how to support the undocumented community and how to get involved. Here is my contact info: (469) 279-5814 estefaniarodriguezmejia@gmail.com Also, if you are in the DFW Area there is a rally (Unidos Contra SB4/ United against SB4) September 1st at the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at 7:30pm-10:30pm (109 Continental Avenue, Dallas, TX 75212) HOPE TO SEE YALL THERE! LA LUCHA SIGUE!
