Good afternoon Dear Friend
We are over the New Year - so have Tesco's and other supermarkets changed the goalposts of customer friendly till check-outs to big self-service-card-only-tills again?
It might be too early to check on your local supermarket, although especially Tesco's, but I would not be at all surprised if the imposition of self-service-card-only-tills has raised it's ugly head again.
Please contact me on pmccarthy940@gmail.com to let me know what's happening at your local supermarket, or if you would like to become a contact for the Stop Replacing People by Machines Campaign.
Are you visually impaired or a wheelchair user and can't access the self-service-card-only-tills that discriminate against many disabled people. What happens if you don't have a debit or credit card - for instance if you are a carer and shopping for your client in cash? Do you have to queue in the interminable queue for a customer services staff operated till? What happens if you simply can't deal with the new SSCOT's - I hate them myself!
I am attaching the link from Garth Groombridge asking you to read recent Guardian Article on self-service-card-only-tills in America - are we going in the same way in the UK - I think so.

I am interested in checking out with a barrister's chamber to see whether they would consider supporting a pro-bona case against the stores who maintain such discriminatory practices against many disabled people.
I value your thoughts, ideas and suggestions of moving this Petition and Campaign further. I would love to hear from you.
With the kindest of regard
Pat
