
Tesco's have announced that they intend to increase the number of self-service-card-only-tills - not reduce them and maintain staffed customer service tills.
The self-service-card-only-tills discriminate against many disabled people - they prevent carers who shop for their clients in cash being able to shop quickly! Lots of people prefer shopping with a customer service assistant helping them at the till - those few minutes chat makes a difference to many.
People who use cash instead of credit or debit cards find they have to join a long queue to be helped by a customer services assistant at the till. There are many people that can't get a credit card. l0% of the population use cash instead of credit cards - its about time Tesco changed its policy - they are making things worse, not better.
Self-service-card-only-tills often don't work - why should we be forced into card only service - its more difficult - harder to operate and takes away the friendly service we all used to get at Tesco's. It's time for a change to the Profits before People policy - enough is enough!
