I sent Mr. Zeoli this email today after learning that the FWP committee will be having it's first meeting on Jan 19th after the vote to renew leases is occurring at the BOS meeting prior. This is the plan-he wants to do nothing and to appease people by putting a committee together. I am livid. Please see Mr. Zeoli's response and lack of ability to directly answer my questions/statements.

Mr. Zeoli,
I am writing in hopes that you really consider NOT renewing the lease of the property that is part of Fred Wolfe Park. I have over 300 signatures of people in this town that want it terminated. The development of FWP will not happen if this property is not released from the lease and is able to be utilized as part of field improvements as well as parking, and a rational placement of the playground. I understand the committee meeting is slated for January 19th and that is after the vote to renew the lease. I find that rather interesting as it should be the committee that has a discussion prior to that lease renewal being entertained.
We are falling behind the times as a town and our recreation facilities are deplorable. There are people that have come up to me and asked if we live in a town of a dictatorship because people's opinions don't seem to matter. I hope as a leader you take that seriously and understand that the town has turned over and there are a lot of new families in town that are not impressed with how antiquated things are and the lack of initiative to move things in a positive direction. This is the time to do the right thing. This development will bring in revenue if it is done right. The positives outweigh the negatives by far.
This is not going to go away, so acting on it now would make it all that much easier to do the right thing for the citizens of the town and most importantly-THE CHILDREN!!!
